GetSigning vs Docusign
Docusign is the name everyone knows. For a small UK business sending a handful of contracts a month, it is also the reason a lot of people are still printing and scanning: the entry plan costs £120 a year before you send anything at all.
The short version

Where the money actually goes
Docusign's Personal plan is £10 a month billed annually, so £120 up front, and it caps you at five documents a month. Unused ones do not roll over. Send four contracts in a year and each one effectively cost you £30.
Standard is £25 per user per month on an annual plan, so £300 a year for one person, and envelope allowances still apply. Add a colleague and it is £600.
GetSigning charges £1.19 a document and nothing else. Twenty documents in a year costs £23.80. Two hundred costs £238. Nothing at all costs nothing at all.
Where Docusign wins: if you send a great deal, every month, without fail. Above roughly 17 documents a month, a £25 Standard licence works out cheaper per document than paying us for each one. We would rather say that plainly than have you discover it in six months.
What you give up by switching
Being honest about this matters more than winning the comparison. Docusign has things we do not:
- Integrations. Salesforce, Microsoft 365, SAP, Workday and a long list besides. We have a REST API and you would write the integration yourself.
- Qualified electronic signatures. For the narrow set of documents that need QES, Docusign has coverage we do not.
- Bulk send and advanced templates. If you send the same document to four hundred people at once, Docusign does that natively.
- A support phone number. Ours is a ticket system inside the app, answered by the person who wrote the software.
What you get that Docusign does not offer
- A price that does not depend on anything. Not volume, not seats, not how long you have been a customer.
- Nothing to cancel. Stop using it and you stop paying. Your signed documents stay downloadable.
- Unlimited users at no extra cost, because we charge for documents rather than for people.
- UK hosting and a UK company under UK GDPR, registered with the ICO.
Is the signature as good?
For ordinary commercial contracts, yes. Both produce what UK eIDAS calls a simple electronic signature, backed by evidence of identity and intent. Every completed GetSigning document carries a certificate recording the signer's IP address, approximate location, device, timestamps to the second, how many times they opened it, and their explicit consent to sign electronically. Every entry is cryptographically chained to the one before, so altering a historic event breaks every link after it.
Neither we nor Docusign's standard product issues a qualified electronic signature. That needs a qualified trust service provider who has verified the signer's identity in person or to an equivalent standard.
£1.19 a document. That is the whole price list.
Three documents free to try it, no card needed. Every signature comes with a certificate and a tamper-evident audit trail.
